Things You’ll Need

7 quarts plain popped popcorn, 2 cups brown sugar, 1 cup margarine or butter, 1/2 cup light corn syrup, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp vanilla extract
Tips: Some favorite nuts can be added.

How to Make

1. Place the popcorn in 2 lightly greased baking pans.
2. Preheat the oven to 250 degree F; mix the brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt in a saucepan and bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until blend well (boil for 5 mins).
3. Remove from the heat and stir in the baking soda and vanilla (the mixture will become light and foamy); pour over the popcorn and stir to coat.
4. Bake in the oven for 1 hr; remove and stir well 15 mins; let cool, separate the pieces and serve.
